The ship carrying the multipurpose crane Fantuzzi MHC 115 arrived in the port of Ploce on 17.07.2006. The Port of Ploce Authority purchased this crane in the scope of an international tender in order to increase its dry bulk cargo, container and heavy unit cargo transshipment capacity.
This is a mobile crane (on rubber wheels) of a nominal capacity of 63 tons and a maximum outreach of 40 m.
The crane achieves its mobility by moving on the rubber wheels, whereby very little time is necessary to move it within the port area.
It is fitted with state-of-the-art communications, control and operating systems, which makes it possible to perform all the operations from the driver’s cabin, the operator’s cabin or with the remote control.
The crane has equipped with various load carrying devices: a hook, spreader and grabs for coal, ore and scrap.
The Port of Ploce Authority will regulate the lease of the crane with the priority concessionaire the Port of Ploce d.d.
