Pilotage

"Ploce Pilot" pilotage covers Port of Ploce and Port of Metkovic.

The Pilot Service is available on a 24 hour/day basis

The pilot launch has an blue hull with white cabin.

PILOT BOARDING STATIONS

(a)Port Pilotage - Pilot boarding position is about 2.0 miles WSW from point Visnjica (Lat. 43°01.6' N., Long. 17°22.1' E.).

(b)Sea Pilotage - for gas carriers (LPG, LNG) and chemical tankers with noxious liquid substances, boarding position: Lat. 43°05.0' N., Long. 17°00.0' E.

Pilotage is COMPULSORY as follows:

Vessels over 500 GT and for vessels carrying danegrous chemicals, combustible substances and noxious liquid substances.

Procedure to obtain a PILOT

1. Contact the Port of Ploce Authority - «Ploce Port Control». on landline (Tel. +385 20 603 436);
2. “Ploce port Control” VHF Ch 09 or 16

4. Coast radio stations: Split Radio "9AS", 2,182kHz, 518kHz (Navtex); Dubrovnik Radio "9AD", 2,182kHz and 2,615kHz.; VHF: Split Radio, Ch 16, Dubrovnik Radio, Ch 16.

Port Pilotage - Final notice of ETA and request for berthing pilot must be made to Port of Ploce Authority - "Ploce Port Control" on VHF Channels 9 or 16 at least 1 hour before arrival at pilot's boarding position (Lat. 43°01.6' N., Long. 17°22.1' E.).

Sea Pilotage - Final notice of ETA and request for sea pilotage for gas carriers (LPG, LNG) and chemical tankers with noxious liquid substances onboard must be send to the Port of Ploce Authority - «Ploce Port Control» at least 6 hours before arrival at pilot's boarding position: Lat. 43°05.0' N., Long. 17°00.0' E.
