Merger of the enterprises "Luka Ploce"("The Port of Ploce") i ZTP Sarajevo. In the year of the merger the traffic in the port of Ploce was 1.078.000 tons, and in 1977 it was already 2.950.000 tons.

Barges acquired for reloading and storage of liquid cargoes, and the first tanker ship entered the port of Ploce in July that year.
1973.
Floating crane "Birina" of 100t capacity acquired.
1976.
Building of a terminal for live stock traffic.
A silo was built for reception and reloading of alumina.

Construction of a timber terminal completed.

Terminal for petrolcoke made.
Construction of distribution warehouse "Radenska" completed.
1981.
Integration of Metkovic port into the "Luke Ploce" ("The Port of Ploce") organization.
Building of new storages for general cargo completed.

Construction of distribution storage "Brodokomerc" completed.

Port operation intensity significantly decreased due to war events in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to the interruption of road and railway communications towards inland.
13th February 1997.
By a decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the Port Authority of Ploce was formed as a public non-profit organization in charge of construction, maintenance, administration, protection and promotion of the port area in Ploce.
1997.
Beginning of the reconstruction of damaged and outworn port capacities.
Concession given for the building of LPG terminal.
1999.
Reconstruction of the dock no. 5 completed.
Feeder line Rijeka-Ploce-Taranto-Malta-Gioia Tauro established.

Building of the Passenger (RO-RO) terminal completed.
